2023 Argento Pinot Grigio
Unlike most white grape varieties, the Pinot Grigio berry is not green; smoke, slate-grey, pewter or tarnished silver would better describe the colour. The name ‘Argento’, meaning silver in Italian, not only reflects the colour of the Pinot Grigio’s berries, but also the qualities of something worth looking for, just like silver.
Fruit for this year’s release was sourced from the Adelaide Hills bringing greater viscosity and length, with a beautiful floral nose and soft passionfruit and melon flavours.
A bouquet of honeysuckle, wildflower, honeydew melon and ripe pears, this wine gives way to refreshing, light citrus flavours with a clean, tight mineral length. The perfect match for the warm lazy days of spring and summer, the perfect accompaniment to a host of foods, and not out of place long after entrée.
